Hola. Hi. Hello.
It’s been a while! Almost June… crazy how time goes by so quickly – and how life works out in a way that seems so unexpected, but meant to be all along.
During the last year, I’ve had ups and downs, forging forwards and stumbling backs… all while deep down knowing everything would eventually fall into place.
Cue my NEW state: (No pun intended) I’m living in Moscow, Idaho and working for the Appaloosa Horse Club as their Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

I grew up riding horses, Appaloosas, actually… I still love my own spotted pony, Rebel. I graduated last year with a marketing degree that I had no idea where it would take me – and here I am.
Yep! This is an “Elaine” job… And it took me a lot of searching, stalling, reflecting, stalling some more (and one-or-two-over-a-few beer talks with my parents) to get here. The job is right… It’s is not easy or perfect. But, the thing is, it’s something I truly care about and have such a connection to, so even though I’m feeling a little more than overwhelmed – I have this peace because I know it’s right.
When I quit my job in October, I was lost and upset with myself. And I’ve realized, all that pressure and guilt I placed on my shoulders wasn’t valid. (Honestly, the only thing it did was make my hair a whole lot thinner!) The people who love you, support you no matter what, and most of the time we are too hard on ourselves.
Let’s all take a deep breath, smile, and think, “hey, I’m pretty cool” because when we believe in ourselves, that’s when it really works out!
P.S. I find it kind of perfect my last post was Horses and life♥️
